Talking about money in the same conversation as helping your child is uniquely uncomfortable—so here are some numbers upfront to minimize the money talk.

Once a parent gives the school district my name, I handle all financial matters and administrative logistics directly with them. I have all clearance paperwork (including active TB tests and LiveScan fingerprints) ready to go so you don't have to manage any of the red tape.

My comprehensive Psychoeducational evaluations generally range between $6,500 and $8,000, and standalone FBAs start around $4,500. These fee structures are aligned with LAUSD containment criteria and are accepted by nearly every school district in the area.

Nothing is set in stone. There are certainly cases where I can assess for a lower fee—especially for significantly younger children (like six years or under). Plus, any combination assessments (such as a Psychoed + FBA) get fast-tracked to acceptance because I can offer districts substantial package discounts.

That said, this is a general ballpark. If your district is trying to cap an FBA at $2,500, setting up a consultation likely won't be a good fit. But if your district's rates are close, I am always happy to talk so we can see what we can make happen depending on space and location. Every case I take comes down to time, location, and whether I feel I am the right clinical fit for your child.

Many school districts attempt to block independent evaluations by imposing extreme insurance mandates on outside evaluators. Morrissey Psychological Services, Inc. carries high-limit, comprehensive commercial policies designed to satisfy and exceed rigorous district vendor criteria:

General Liability: $1,000,000 per occurrence / $3,000,000 aggregate
Professional Liability (Malpractice): $1,000,000 per occurrence / $3,000,000 aggregate
Sexual Abuse & Molestation (SAM) Coverage: Fully maintained high-limit policy
